I am Oluwafemi Thomas Ogungbenle, the proud founder and CEO of Femest Textile Hub, where tradition meets innovation. With a strong foundation in chemistry and a Master of Arts in Textile Design, I have dedicated my journey to mastering the art and science of African tie-and-dye textiles. Through extensive research and boundless creativity, I’ve discovered the harmony between age-old techniques and contemporary approaches.
At Femest Textile Hub, our mission is to celebrate the timeless beauty of Yoruba Adire textiles while embracing the endless possibilities of modern design. By using sustainable, natural dyes like indigo, madder, and turmeric and introducing techniques like Batik design, dye sublimation, vinyl printing, and recycling, we honour our cultural heritage while ensuring relevance in the global textile industry.
